Acting is a powerful way for young folks to build confidence and creativity and learn about themselves, by taking the *active* role in the kinds of stories that engage them the most. And if they’re keen… young actors have a real shot at getting work in the industry, now more than ever.

These small-group professional classes in acting on camera for film and television give young folks the chance to build confidence in a safe-and-supportive creative environment, and explore the edges of their current on-camera technical and expressive skills.

Students are assigned practice scripts from real film+tv auditions to prepare based on their interest and experience level, and then work those scenes on camera. Video is recorded and uploaded to a private folder so you can see for yourself how the work improves with practice!

No professional experience is needed to join, only a willingness to learn, practice and play.

The advantage of online training is that you’re practicing in exactly the environment where most of your auditions will be happening: at home.

In 2020, professional auditions for film and television switched almost completely to “self-tape” auditions. This means that professional actors are recording their own auditions at home, and producers are either casting directly from tape or running callbacks via Zoom.

These sessions are intended to equip actors with the technical and creative skills that they need to audition and book work from self-tapes, and to work on set.
