PROFESSIONAL FILM+TV ACTING+AUDITIONING CLASSES w. MICHAEL BEAN

Small-group professional training in acting on camera for film and television. Build confidence in a safe-and-supportive creative environment, and explore the edges of your current on-camera technical and expressive skills. Each student will be assigned a script to prepare, based on their interest and experience level.

Students are assigned practice scripts from real film+tv auditions to prepare, and then work those scenes on camera. Video is recorded and uploaded to a private folder so you can see for yourself how the work improves with practice!

No professional experience is needed to join, only a willingness to learn, practice and play.

ZOOM CLASSES:

The advantage of an online class is that you’re practising in exactly the environment where most of your auditions will be happening: at home.

In 2020, professional auditions for film and television switched almost completely to “self-tape” auditions. This means that professional actors are recording their own auditions at home, and producers are either casting directly from tape or running callbacks via Zoom.

This class is intended to equip actors with the technical and creative skills that they would need to audition and book work from self-tapes, and to work on set.
